Depending on the destination country you are moving to, newly purchased items can be subject to taxes/duties. A general rule of the thumb is that items that are older than 12 months would be considered used household goods. Contact your consulate prior to your move to insure that you are clear on what taxes or duties you may face (if any) when your shipment arrives at destination.

We must be notified in advance of any new purchases which will be shipped to our warehouse.  All deliveries should be clearly marked with your name. It is your responsibility to make sure all new purchases are received before your shipment leaves our warehouse.
